That's why I don't begin with a platform or a predetermined solution. I start by understanding what you're trying to accomplish, how your business operates, what's getting in the way, and where technology can make the greatest impact.

From there, we can identify the real problem and build the right solution.

How GKM Came to Be

GKM began with something I kept seeing again and again: smart, capable business owners investing in technology that wasn't delivering what they expected.

Sometimes they had too many platforms.

Sometimes their systems weren't communicating.

Sometimes processes had become unnecessarily complicated.

And sometimes, they already had exactly the technology they needed - it simply wasn't configured around the way their business actually worked.

I realized these businesses didn't necessarily need more tech.

They needed someone who could connect the dots between their business and their technology.

That's what GKM was built to do.

Meet Grete Mathews

I've built my career at the intersection of people, business, and technology.

My path into technology consulting hasn't been perfectly linear, and that's become one of my greatest strengths.

Early in my career at Faithlife, I worked in operations and employee support within a rapidly growing technology company. Managing competing requests, coordinating complex office moves, and supporting hundreds of employees taught me something I've carried throughout my career:

Systems and processes are only successful when they work for the people relying on them.

I later moved into Technical Product Management, where I led an international development team of 10+ and worked between clients, business requirements, user experience, and technical development.

That was where one of my strongest skills really took shape: translation.

I learned how to listen to a client explain what they wanted to accomplish, uncover what they actually needed, translate that into requirements a technical team could build from, and then translate the technical decisions back into language the client could understand.

I also learned that the obvious solution isn't always the right one.

Today, I help businesses connect the dots.

Through GKM Creative Solutions & Consulting, I've completed 5+ full technology-stack migrations, 20+ website and digital implementation engagements, and over 30 business strategy and operations audits.

My work spans business systems, CRM and automation, digital experiences, workflows, migrations, troubleshooting, process optimization, and implementation strategy.

The technology changes from project to project.

Sometimes it means redesigning a process, migrating platforms, automating repetitive work, or simply making better use of technology you've already paid for.

The goal isn't more technology. It's better business through the right technology.

A Little More About Me

Technology is a big part of what I do, but it isn't all of who I am.

I'm a wife, mom, lifelong problem-solver, gardener, baker, sports-family chauffeur, and someone who genuinely enjoys figuring out how things work.

Building my own consulting business gave me the opportunity to combine the parts of my career I enjoy most—learning, problem-solving, creating, strategizing, and helping people—while building a life where professional ambition and family don't have to compete with one another.

That perspective also influences the way I consult.

I understand that behind every workflow, implementation, deadline, and business objective are actual people trying to get something done.
